New growth from pruning done two weeks ago. It doesn’t look like buds. It rained the last two days and the soil is still moist, so it didn’t need to be watered.

Gardenia Aimee is doing well. Although still not blooming, the foliage is green and luscious. I trimmed off a few yellow leaves, gave it 1/3 spoon of fertilizer, and watered with fermented rice water. Some branches have 3 leaves at the top, so we’re hopefully budding. Some branches grew very long that will need to be pruned back after we see some blooms.

It rained last night so i didn’t water Jubilation. this morning, I teimmed off these yellow buds (came like this when i bought it) and leaves that had yellow spots. I did some research and the probable cause could be the soil was not acidic enough. So i gave it a little fermented rice water after trimming, and dumped out excess water collected at the bottom of the pot immediately.

Gardenia Jubilation has these yellow buds that are hard to the touch. These buds stayed like this and never bloomed in three week. This gardenia also has leaves with Yellow spots. I gave it slow release fertilizer with 10N-18P-9K a few says ago in hopes to make these buds bloom but nothing happed. It also has normal blooms like once a day and most leaves are still uniformally green. Should i just trimm off the bad buds?
